Privacy Policy

Cowboy Creations is a shop in Tolar, Hood County, Texas. This policy covers this website and email from [email protected]. It is written so you can read it. It is not a substitute for advice from your own lawyer.

What I collect

• Name, email, and optional phone when you send a request.
• Notes, links, photos, and files you attach so I can quote and make the part.
• Order records: what you asked for, quotes, payment status, tracking if I mail it.
• If I invite you to an account: email or username, and a hashed password. I do not store the password in plain text.
• Technical basics needed to run the site: IP address, time, and the page requested. I use that to stop abuse (too many sign-in or form posts from one place).

Payment is Venmo, not this website. Venmo / PayPal is the controller of your payment data under their policy.

What I use it for

To quote the job, make the part, email you that I got the request, mail or arrange pickup, and show you your own projects if you have an account. I do not sell your information. I do not run ads. This site does not load analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts are served from this site, not from Google.

Cookies

The public shop does not set a tracking cookie. If you sign in, a session cookie keeps you signed in on this shop only. It is HttpOnly for the login token. A separate CSRF cookie is used so a third-party site cannot submit forms as you. Those cookies are not shared with the rest of the house network.

Who else sees it

• Email goes through Proton Mail. Their policy applies to mail in transit and at rest on Proton.
• If I mail a part, the carrier gets a name and address for the label.
• Venmo sees the payment.
• I do not use a separate marketing list.

How long I keep it

I keep order records and the files you sent as long as I need them to finish the job, handle a defect, and keep ordinary shop books (including tax). Email me if you want a copy or want something deleted. I will say what I can delete and what I have to keep for a legal or accounting reason.

Children

This shop is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think I have, email me and I will delete it.

Security

Accounts are invite-only. Passwords are hashed. The shop process is not on the open internet except through the shop URL. I cannot promise that any internet service is perfectly secure. Do not send passwords or payment card numbers through the request form.

Your choices

You can email me to access, correct, or delete what I hold, or to close an account. Texas does not currently run a California-style consumer privacy statute for a shop this size, but I will still handle a straight request like a neighbor.
